This is one of my favorite Coldplay songs. The way I interpret this song is that God is speaking to us, saying, “You belong with me, not swallowed in the sea.” Other parts of the song are sung from our point of view, “You cut me down to size, and opened up my eyes, made me realize what I could not see.” What are the things that are swallowing us? What things are preventing us from being with God?
